Callinan Mines of Vancouver has hired John J. (J.J.) O'Donnell as its new VP of exploration. A graduate of Brandon University, he has considerable experience in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake Greenstone Belt, including the 777 mine belonging to HudBay.

The new chief geologist at Vancouver's Golden Predator Corp. is Mike Burke. He will oversee the design and management of the company 's exploration projects in the Yukon. He will be based in Whitehorse.

Midas Gold of Spokane, WA, has named Stephan Quin its new president and CEO. He is the former chief executive of Capstone Mining in Vancouver.

Vancouver's North American Tungsten Corp. has a new general manager of its CanTung mine in the Northwest Territories. Jason McKenzie brings 25 years of experience to the job.

Shear Diamonds of Edmonton, AB, has made two new hires. Jennifer Burgess is the new VP of exploration and Fred Mason is the new VP of operations. Shear recently acquired the former Jericho diamond mine in Nunavut.

As Treasury Metals of Toronto prepares to advance its Goliath gold project near Dryden, ON, it has appointed Andrew Cheatle as VP of exploration. He brings to the position more than 25 years of operational, mine development and exploration experience.
