CANALASKA URANIUM of Vancouver has added John Kowalchuk to its team as regional exploration manager for Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta. He has more than 38 years of exploration experience in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Chile.

Peter Drobeck will assume the role of senior VP exploration and business development at Halifax-based GAMMON GOLD on Oct. 15, 2008.

Vancouver's GOLD WHEATON has appointed Nolan Watson as a director. He was a founder and former CFO of Silver Wheaton. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in commerce.

The new executive VP at NORTHERN STAR MINING of Val d'Or, Quebec, is Claude P. Larouche. He has a BSc geological engineering from University of Quebec and MSc geology from Carleton University. Larouche will act as qualified person for the company.

POTASH ONE of Vancouver has named Douglas B. Forster to its board of directors. He has been involved in the acquisition, financing and advancement of several Canadian projects including the Kemess South, Mt. Milligan, Prosperity and Kitsault projects.
