Darren Lindsay is the new president and CEO of Castle Peak Mining in Vancouver. Former CEO Brian Lock has resigned that position but will remain as chairman. Lindsay was part of the team that explored the Madrid and Doris gold deposits in Hope Bay, NU.

Hawthorne Gold of Vancouver has named Jian Zhang its new chairman and Dr. Shijia Tang its new CEO. Former chairman Michael Beley and former president and CEO Richard Barclay will remain on the Hawthorne board.

Vancouver-based Superior Mining International has appointed Brent Butler as the new president and CEO and Brian Richardson as the new CFO, effective immediately.

William A. Cousins has joined Thelon Capital of Vancouver and will act as COO of the company. He is also managing director of Clear Fork Mining. Cousins brings to the position his extensive knowledge of the Appalachian coal industry in the United States.

Volta Resources of Toronto has named Alex J. Davidson to its board of directors. He was formerly with Barrick Gold where he was credited with that company's expansion into Latin America, Africa and Asia.

Robert Cudney is the new president and CEO of Toronto-based White Pine Resources. He is also president and CEO of Northfield Capital, White Pine's largest shareholder. Former president and CEO John Tait has resigned those positions but remains with the company in a consulting capacity.
