As it works to reopen the Granduc copper mine in British Columbia, Castle Resources of Toronto has hired Natasha Essar as VP of environment and permitting. She is an environmental professional with 15 years' experience working on resource development projects in western Canada.

Queenston Mining of Toronto has strengthened the project team for its Upper Beaver gold-copper project near Kirkland Lake, ON. Jack Ayotte is project manager of the advanced underground exploration project, and Randy Blais is the mine engineer. They worked on the development of the Lalor and Young-Davidson mines, respectively.

Vancouver-based Tyhee Gold has named Brian K. Briggs the company’s president and CEO as well as to the board. He has been performing those duties on an interim basis since late last year.
