Vancouver-based Crosshair Energy Corp. has asked its COO to take on the duties of president and CEO, effective April 30, 2012, as Stewart Wallis is retiring from those roles. Ludwig is a veteran of Hecla Mining. Additionally, Chris Healey is appointed to the Crosshair board.

Joao Carrelo is taking over as president and CEO of Vancouver’s Eco Oro Minerals on July 1, 2012. A mining engineer and holder of an MBA degree, he was formerly COO at Lundin Mining.

Northern Iron of Vancouver has named Gordon McCreary to its board of directors. He was the former CEO of Baffinland Iron Mines, a founder of Kinross Gold and current chairman of Asia Now Resources.

At Wallbridge Mining of Toronto a number of executive changes have been made. Warren Holmes has stepped down as non-executive chairman, but he will remain on the board. Alar Soever resigned as CEO and was appointed executive chairman. Marz Kord will assume the duties of CEO and retain his role as president.
