Discovery Ventures of Vancouver has named Mike England as president and CEO. He has extensive experience in resource company management, venture capital financing, and mergers and acquisitions.

The new president and CEO at Vancouver's Full Metal Zinc will be Steve Hayes, effective Nov. 1, 2011. He left his position at Breakwater Resources when it was taken over early this year by Nystar. He has also accepted a directorship in Full Metal Zinc.

Effective Nov. 1, 2011, A. Robson Garden will be the president and CEO of Golden Band Resources in Saskatoon. He has been a director of the company since 2004. Ronald Netolitzky, who was the president and CEO, will resume his non-executive chairman's role.

Raymond James, the Canadian arm of investment dealer Raymond James Financial has enhanced its Canadian mining research coverage with the addition of Alex Terentiew as equity analyst, mining. He will work in the Toronto office beginning Nov. 22, 2011.

Toronto-based Volta Resources has strengthened its management team with the addition of Alexandru Arhire as VP operations. He will be based in Burkina Faso to oversee the Kiaka gold project.
