Dynasty Gold of Vancouver has added mining veteran Bob Gallagher to its board. He has more than 30 years in the industry, notably with Placer Dome and Newmont Mining. He is also the president and CEO of New Gold Inc.

 

Two new directors have joined the board of Vancouver's First Point Minerals. Thomas W. Beattie has held senior positions with international mining and exploration companies and was an officer and director of several publicly traded companies. Dr. John A. McDonald is the former VP exploration for both Diamondex and Winspear Diamonds and a winner of both the H.H. Spud Huestis and Hugo Dummett Diamond Award for his exploration expertise.

 

Forest Gate Resources of Montreal has named Curtis Hartzler its new VP operations and COO. He was most recently president and CEO of G2 Resources where he negotiated the purchase of Regal Energy.

 

Former Placer Dome executive Brian Groves has joined the board of Vancouver's Kootenay Gold. He is a graduate of the University of Sydney, Australia, and currently CEO of Skygold Ventures.

 

Vancouver-based Lucara Diamond Corp. has appointed William Lamb as president and COO. Before joining Lucara he was the process plant manager at De Beers Canada's Victor diamond mine. Lukas Lundin will remain CEO and take on the duties of chairman, as well.

 

Monument Mining of Vancouver has named Graham Dickson to its board of directors. During his 25 years in the industry he acquired hands-on experience building gold recovery plants in Canada (Snip, Golden Patricia and Seabee) and Russia (Julietta). Dickson is also COO of Yukon-Nevada Gold.

 

Peter Winn, based in Colorado, has been elected a director of Toronto's Win-Eldrich Mines.
