David Huberman has joined the board of IVANHOE MINES as an independent director. He is president of Coda Consulting, a law and business consulting firm based in Vancouver. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Denis Gregoire is the new general and mine manager for NEVSUN RESOURCES' Tabakoto gold project in Mali, West Africa. He is based in Mali and will manage the on-site mining and project development. Nevsun has hired a firm to produce the detailed engineering study for a 650,000-t/yr mine and plant.

TEMEX RESOURCES, a Toronto-based exploration company, has named Brian Groves a director of the company. Groves replaces Richard Taylor who has resigned.

The management team at CRYSTAL GRAPHITE has been strengthened by the addition of John Geisler as VP corporate development and the promotion of Ted Nunn to VP operations. The company produces three graphite products from its mine and plant near Nelson, B.C.

ALCAN INC. of Montreal has announced these changes to its board of directors: Christine Morin-Postel becomes a director following her retirement as executive VP of human resources; and the departure of Clarence J. Chandran who joined the board in 2001.
