LA MANCHA RESOURCES of Vancouver has named Richard J. Meli its new president and COO. He is a former senior executive with Rio Tinto and Kennecott. The company is a developer of mineral projects in South America.

Mike Koziol is now the VP exploration at Vancouver-based ALTO VENTURES. His quarter-century-plus experience includes key roles in a number of gold and base metal discoveries including the McIlvenna Bay copper/zinc deposit in Saskatchewan and the Comtois and Despinassy gold deposits in Quebec. He holds a degree in geology from McGill University in Montreal.

Montreal-based RESSOURCES MINIERES PRO-OR has added Gunter Thase to its team. He will take up duties as marketing consultant and commercialization officer for the output of Pro-Or's James Bay Menarik orebody.

SIERRA MINERALS of Toronto has named Martin Walter president and CEO, replacing Claude Durocher who has stepped down. Walter was a mine geologist for Western Mining and a consultant on numerous precious metals projects throughout the world.

Following its recent annual general meeting, WEALTH MINERALS of Vancouver made the following appointments: Rosie Moore as president and a director, Jon Lever as CFO and Henk Van Alphen as a director. Former president Gary Freeman is now the company's VP corporate development and a director.
