Nathalie Hansen has been named a director of Ottawa-based Melkior Resources. She holds a BSc in electrical engineering from Carleton University. She consults to various exploration companies and provides project management for Melkior.
Vancouver's Polaris Minerals has asked Colin Benner to joint its board of directors following the retirement of Stuart (Tookie) Angus. Benner is also chairman and a director of both PBS Coals and Creston Moly, and most recently was vice-chairman and CEO of Skye Resources. He also serves on the boards of Lundin Mining Corp., HudBay Minerals, Sherwood Copper and Troon Ventures.
Dr. Mark Fedikow is the newest addition to the board of directors at VMS Ventures of Vancouver. A native of Windsor, Ont., he received a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Scholarship and completed a PhD in exploration geochemistry at the University of New South Wales. His 30 years in mining include working for a variety of junior and major mining exploration companies and for the Manitoba Geological Survey. In 2002, Fedikow left the MGS to start his own company, Mount Morgan Resources.
