Richard D. McNeely, the president and co-founder of Toronto-based METALLIC VENTURES GOLD, has retired but will continue to sit on the board of directors.
BRC DIAMOND CORP. of Toronto has named Martin Jones its VP of corporate development. He holds the same position at Banro Corp., BRC's largest shareholder.
At its recent annual meeting, Toronto-based NIOCAN appointed Hubert Marleau as chairman and CEO. He replaces Rene Dufour who has resigned. Bernard Coulombe and Alain Robin were reappointed as vice-chairman and secretary-treasurer, respectively.
Vancouver's SILVERCORP METALS says Cathy Fong has joined its team as VP of corporate development. Her credentials include engineering projects at several Canadian and foreign mines for a number of international firms.
