Schneider Electric Canada of Toronto has named Daniel Peloquin its new president, replacing Gary Abrams who has been named to the role of transformation leader of the company’s North American IT initiative. Peloquin joined the head office team in 2010 as VP services and projects. He is a graduate of the Ecole Plytechnique de Montreal.

Anthony (Tony) Walsh has joined the board of directors at Quaterra Resources in Vancouver. He is a graduate of Queen’s University and has more than 20 years experience in exploration, mining and development.

D. Grenville Thomas, the chairman of North Arrow Minerals, has been named to the roles of president and CEO. Brian McEwen, who formerly held those roles, is stepping down but will remain as a consultant to the company.

Saskatoon-based Claude Resources has appointed Peter Longo its VP of operations. He joined the company as manager of capital projects last year. Longo will oversee all aspects of the company’s Seabee and Madsen gold operations as well as conduct a feasibility for the Amisk and other gold projects.
