Josef Spross has joined the board of Saskatoon-based TITAN URANIUM as a director. He was formerly the COO of Cameco and managed its Key Lake mine for 15 years.
MERIDIAN GOLD of Reno, Nev., has hired Edward Dowling as CEO and president designate to Brian J. Kennedy, who will become chairman. Dowling will also assume a seat on the board immediately.
Stephen McGibbon and Matt Long have accepted senior management positions at PREMIER GOLD MINES of Thunder Bay, Ont. McGibbon, a graduate of Queen's University, will assume the duties of executive VP and COO. Long becomes manager of Premier's Red Lake gold projects. He received an honours geology degree from the University of Manitoba.
Toronto-based TIOMIN RESOURCES has named Robert Jackson its new president effective Sept. 1, 2006. Jean-Charles Potvin, the current president, will remain chairman and CEO.
