WHEATON RIVER MINERALS announced the appointment of Peter Barnes to the post of CFO. He has been executive VP at Wheaton River and was formerly president and CFO of Crew Development.
Robert W. Termuende, PGeo, has recently been named a director of CLAUDE RESOURCES. The University of British Columbia graduate has 30 years experience as an officer and director of several Canadian natural resource companies.
The senior management of SOUTHERN CROSS RESOURCES in Toronto has been shuffled. Oliver Lennox-King, who has been chairman and CFO, has assumed the extra responsibilities as CEO following the resignation of Martin Ackland. Lennox-King turned over his duties as CFO to Leigh Curyer.
ALBERTA STAR DEVELOPMENT has hired Allan Feldman to act as its in-house investor relations representative.
Effective July 4, 2003, Eileen Carr is resigning as a director and from the CFO's job at EUROPEAN GOLDFIELDS. She will be replaced by David Grannel.
