Toronto’s Mountain Province Diamonds has appointed Karen Goracke to the board of directors. She is president and CEO of Borsheims Fine Jewelry, a Berkshire Hathaway company. Mark O’Dea has joined the board of NexGen Energy in Vancouver. He has played leadership roles in founding, financing and building numerous mining companies, include Fronteer Gold, Aurora Energy, True North Nickel, and True Gold Mining. He  is currently the chairman of Pilot Gold. O’Dea is the recipient of numerous business and industry awards, including the Globe and Mail's Top 40 Under 40, winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 Pacific mining and metals category, and the AME BC's Murray Pezim Award for perseverance and success in financing mineral exploration. The new chief technology officer for Saint Jean Carbon of Oakville, ON, is Dr. Zhongwei Chen. He is also the Canadian research chair and professor in advanced materials for clean energy at the University of Waterloo. Starrex International of Toronto has named Matthew Hill as its new president, CEO and chairman. He previously served as the company’s senior VP. Hill replaces Philip Garrett Clayton who has resigned to pursue other interests.
