Vancouver-based Pilot Gold has named Cal Everett president and CEO. He is a geologist with more than 14 years of experience with senior mining companies. He moved to the financial sector from 1990 to 2008 when he became president and CEO at Axemen Resource Capital.
Ian Todd is the new president and COO of Stria Lithium in Ottawa. He is a metallurgist and holder of a doctorate from McGill University. He is a former employee of the SGS Minerals lab in Lakefield, ON.
Suncor Energy of Calgary has appointed Patricia M. Bedient to its board of directors. She is executive VP of Weyerhaeuser Company, an integrated forest products company.
Teck Resources announced on Feb. 23 a number of senior executive retirements, as well as a consequent restructuring of senior management. Ian Kilgour, executive VP and COO, will retire on April 30, 2016. Rob Scott, senior VP zinc, will retire on April 30, 2016. Ray Reipas, senior VP energy, will retire on June 30, 2016. Tim Watson, senior VP project development, will begin a phased retirement, effective July 1, 2016. Dale Andres, currently senior VP copper, will become senior VP base metals, effective May 1, 2016. Robin Sheremeta, currently VP coal operations, will become senior VP coal on May 1, 2016. Alex Christopher, currently VP exploration, will become senior VP exploration, projects and technical services on July 1, 2016.
