Kelowna, BC.: BigSteelBox Structures has just announced it has achieved certification to Part 10 of the Alberta Building Code for its mobile structures. “The Alberta certification of BigSteelBox Structures is an important step as we have now achieved a nationally recognized standard for mobile structures," says President Devon Siebenga, BigSteelBox Structures.
“Achieving this certification demonstrates our commitment to provide high-quality construction that meets the needs of Alberta’s oil, mining and forestry industries and durable structures strong enough to weather northern field conditions. The certification clearly differentiates BigSteelBox Structures from the manufacturers who are not certified.”
BigSteelBox Structures is the first steel container manufacturer in B.C. to meet the Alberta Building Code requirement for relocatable industrial accommodation. To meet the growing demand for workforce housing, the company has added a manufacturing facility in the B.C. Interior, doubling its current capacity.
The facility is certified to CSA A277 standards required to supply modular housing to Alberta and is ISO 9001 registered, maintaining a quality assurance program that encompasses all aspects of the building process from design to delivery.
