ONTARIO -- A total of 113 inclined diamond drill holes, spaced about 50 m apart, totaling 37 100 m of core has resulted in Linear Metals producing a resource estimate for its KM61 copper-molybdenum-silver project near Armstrong, Ont. These results will allow the company to advance to a pre-feasibility study.
Indicated resources total 66.6 million tonnes grading 0.053% Mo, 0.09% Co, and 3 g/t Ag totaling of 78.2 million lb moly, 127.7 million lb copper, and 5.5 million oz silver. Inferred resources come in at 38.9 million tonnes grading 0.054% Mo, 0.09% Co, and 2.7 g/t Ag for a total of 46.5 million lb moly, 78 million lb copper, and 3.4 million oz silver.
A cutoff grade of 0.02% moly was used in the resource estimates.
The main resources area is 1.55 km by 275 metres and mineralization includes both disseminated and vein-type molybdenite-chalcopyrite and is hosted by two northeast trending, quartz monzonite porphyry dyke swarms and their mafic metavolcanics.
The company has already conducted some metallurgical studies and has found that the mineralization responds well to conventional flotation.
