Further to the debate on geostatistics versus regular statistics, John Postle of ROSCOE POSTLE ASSOCIATES adds this:
"I do not think it matters too much if classical statistics or geostatistics are used to estimate the grade of a deposit. What is important is that more than one method, perhaps three or four, should be used, and the differences in the results should be explained and, more importantly, understood. My tendency would be to place more faith in the lowest number."
