VANCOUVER – SOUTHWESTERN RESOURCES has created a new company, ZINCORE METALS, to holds its zinc deposits in Peru. Zincore, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwestern, is planning an IPO, but Southwestern plans to remain Zincore’s largest shareholder.

Zincore’s assets include the Accha-Yanque zinc oxide property, the Minascassa zinc-copper property and the Sayani lead-zinc property. The Accha-Yanque project is at the prefeasibility stage, with the study due by the middle of 2007.
