VANCOUVER – The name change is official – the company formerly known as Ivanhoe Mines is now Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. The name change was part of the April 2012 agreement signed with Rio Tinto to fund the copper-gold project through to production. The company’s new trading symbol is TRQ.
CEO Kay Priestly said “Our new name more closely aligns the company with our world-class Oyu Tolgoi project and will have added significance as we rapidly approach the start of production.”
