TIMMINS, Ontario AURORA PLATINUM will acquire a 50% interest from INCO LTD. in eight nickel-copper-PGM prospects near Timmins. Aurora may acquire this interest upon spending the first $33,252, or twice what Inco has spent.

The interesting properties cover targets over EM conductors north of Timmins. The conductors are believed to represent excellent nickel targets. They all lie within a belt that includes a number of komatiitic flows and related ultramafic intrusives. The area includes the Langmuir, Hart, McWatters, Alexo, Redstone, Dundonald, and Montcalm deposits.

Aurora and Inco announced in February a data acquisition agreement for the Abitibi region of northern Ontario and Quebec. Details of that understanding can be found at Aurora Platinum.
