ONTARIO - Torontos URSA MAJOR MINERALS has received acceptance of its closure plan following test mining of the Shakespeare project, 70 km west of Sudbury. A 50,000-t bulk sample will be mined beginning in late May 2007 and hauled to XSTRATAs Strathcona mill for treatment.

URSA Major is in the process of permitting two open pits (Shakespeare East and West zones), a mill to process up to 4,500 t/d, a co-disposal waste management facility and related site infrastructure.

At the Shakespeare project, URSA Major completed a positive full feasibility study in 2006. The feasibility study is available at www.UrsaMajorMinerals.com. The Shakespeare deposit contains a diluted probable reserve of 11.3 million t grading 0.33% Ni, 0.35% Cu, 0.02% Co and 0.9 g /t precious metals.
