NEW BRUNSWICK - Continental Nickel of Toronto has discovered a new zone of nickel-copper sulphide mineralization at the St. Stephen property, north of the city of the same name. The property is owned by Abitex Resources of Val d'Or, QC, and optioned to Continental.
Highlights include 2.35% Ni and 1.06% Cu over 5.45 metres from drill hole SSD11-013 at the new Hanson Brook target, and 0.68% Ni and 0.41% Cu over 58.2 metres, including 0.85% Ni and 0.48% Cu over 20.8 metres from drill hole SSD11-011 at the G zone.
The G zone was first drilled in 2010, and has returned core taken from 113.8 and 172.0 metres below the surface that assayed 0.68% Ni and 0.51% Cu including 0.85% Ni and 0.48% Cu over the deepest 20.8 metres of hole SSD11-011. The Hanson Brook target lies approximately 350 metres northwest of the G zone. Continental is planning additional drilling for these two zones as well as the Todd Mountain target.
