NICKEL-COPPER: First Nickel declares full production at Lockerby

ONTARIO – The Lockerby nickel-copper mine near Sudbury has reached full production. Owner First Nickel says the full rate is 10.0 million lb of nickel per year, and the mine produced 2.5 million lb during the first three months of this year.

First Nickel gives 2013 guidance as being 9.0 million to 10.0 million lb of payable nickel and 6.1 million to 6.7 million lb of payable copper. In these calculations, copper at $3.50/lb and the US and Canadian dollars at parity were assumed.
