NICKEL-COPPER-PGM: Sudbury Platinum unearths promising new zone at Aer-Kidd

ONTARIO – Sudbury Platinum Corp., headquartered in Sudbury, now has the first assays from its drill program at the Aer-Kidd property located on the Worthington Offset dyke of the Sudbury Igneous complex.

ONTARIO – Sudbury Platinum Corp., headquartered in Sudbury, now has the first assays from its drill program at the Aer-Kidd property located on the Worthington Offset dyke of the Sudbury Igneous complex.

Two of the three holes returned "significant" nickel-copper-platinum group metals values. Hole AK-14-01A cut 8.1 metres of 1.04% Ni, 0.75% Cu and 2.40 g/t PGM, including 1.65 metres of 2.47% Ni, 2.47% Cu and 10.18 g/t PGM. Another section of 01A was drilled through gersdorffite bearing mineralization that averaged 2.97 g/t Pt, 24.20 g/t Pd and 1.94 g/t Au over 0.40 metre. Hole AK-14-001 returned 1.75 metres of 1.37% Ni, 0.50% Cu and 1.64 g/t PGM, including 0.80 metres that assayed 2.34% Ni, 0.5% Cu and 2.43 g/t PGM. Information from borehole geophysics indicates that the zones are open to the east as well as both up and down dip.

Sudbury Platinum says the host geology is consistent with that at Vale's Totten deposit 2.0 km southwest of Aer-Kidd.
