ONTARIO - Noront Resources of Toronto announced that infill drilling at its Eagle's Nest deposit has returned high grades. Hole 091A intersected 56.5 metres averaging 2.28% Ni, 1.16% Cu, 1.27 g/t Pt, and 5.08 g/t Pd, including 5.1 metres averaging 7.2% Ni, 1.44% Cu, 0.48 g/t Pt, and 15.00 g/t Pd and 2.5 metres averaging 5.18% Ni, 2.46% Cu, 5.21 g/t Pt, and 20.48 g/t Pd. Hole 096 intersected 52.2 metres averaging 1.89% Ni, 1.26% Cu, 1.73 g/t Pt and 4.44 g/t Pd.

Noront's president and CEO, Wes Hanson, said, "The company is pleased with the results. Nickel, copper, platinum and palladium grades were higher than expected in the majority of the holes completed. Most of the holes targeted the inferred resource and the company believes that a large percentage of the inferred resource has been upgraded as a result of this drilling."

The Eagle's Nest deposit is part of the McFauld's Lake project in the James Bay Lowlands. Two drills remain at work at Eagle's Nest.
