MANITOBA – Victory Nickel of Toronto calls recent intersections at its Minago sulphide nickel project 25 km north of Thompson “outstanding”. The best assays were 70.04 metres at 1.08% Ni and 306.42 metres are 0.48%. The higher grade was included in a 139.72-metre section that assayed 0.87%.
The holes were drilled in the Nose deposit that contains all the outlined Minago resources. Thus far the property contains measured and indicated resources of 43.2 million tonnes at 0.52% Ni and inferred resources of 14.6 million tonnes at 0.53% Ni.
Victory has completed a definitive feasibility study for Minago indicating that the ore could produce the world’s highest grade nickel concentrate at 22.3% Ni with 10.4% MgO. An open pit would cost $596 to develop.
