NICKEL-PGM: Balmoral doubles zone at Grasset discovery

QUEBEC – Balmoral Resources of Vancouver reports drilling 44.97 metres grading 1.53% Ni, 0.16% Cu, 0.37 g/t Pt and 0.96 g/t Pd at its Grasset property in the Matagami region. The deepest hole yielded 21.89 metres at 2.21% Ni, and the footwall vein returned 2.58% Ni, 2.90% Cu, 1.92 g/t Pt, 12.00 g/t Pd and 5.13 g/t Au.

These results point toward a doubling of the Horizon 3 zone along strike and at depth, according to Balmoral. The Horizon 3 zone is now known to extend to a vertical depth of 250 metres and for at least 125 metres along strike. The zone remains open at depth and to the northwest. Assays are pending from three more holes that intersected massive sulphides.

Balmoral continues to drill at Grasset but will wrap it up by the end of the month. Winter drilling will get underway as conditions permit.
