OFFICE: Cementation Canada opens Toronto office

From engineering, to shaft sinking, underground development, contract mining and everything in between, Cementation has a proven track record.

TORONTO – Last week Cementation Canada opened a new office in the Greater Toronto Area, located at 4711 Yonge Street. By developing a GTA-based group of engineers and design professionals, Cementation is building capacity and enhancing the company’s service offering to the mining community.

The GTA-based multi-disciplinary engineering team will work collaboratively with Cementation’s existing engineering and operations groups located in North Bay and Sudbury, Ont. Together the groups will continue to deliver high quality detailed design and study services in support of the company’s growing business portfolio as Cementation enters into one of the busiest periods in the company’s 20 year history.

“Establishing a Cementation presence in the Greater Toronto Area was a practical decision based on our capacity needs and the availability of experienced engineers, technologists and design staff,” says David Setchell, executive VP engineering at Cementation. “We are excited about the opportunities this new office will provide as Cementation continues to deliver cost efficient discipline and mining studies engineering to our clients, many of whom are based in Toronto.”

In addition to expansion into the Greater Toronto Area, the company is also growing its capacity within the North Bay and Sudbury locations.

Cementation is a mine and facilities contracting and engineering company. The Cementation group of companies delivers underground mine development and infrastructure as well as surface material handling and processing facilities solutions for mining projects worldwide.
