NORTHERN ONTARIO - NORTH AMERICAN PALLADIUM of Toronto says the primary crusher at its Lac des Iles mine was shut down unexpectedly the last week of December. Repairs are expected to take about three weeks. Meantime, North American contracted with Sigfusson Northern to bring portable crushing units to the mine near Thunder Bay so that milling was resumed by the end of the week.
The crusher had been acting up in December, and the company used the opportunity to perform scheduled mill maintenance that would otherwise have been done this week. Updates are available at www.NAPalladium.com.
