The Internet and web-based information delivery is becoming an ever-more valuable tool in modern society. We at Canadian Mining Journal recognize that and are stepping up our eNews Alert service to four times a week. Readers will receive Alerts on Tuesday through Friday with essential facts and opinions relevant to the Canadian mining industry.

We will continue to make Canadian companies working on projects in Canada a priority. New discovery at a mine in Quebec? Opening of a new mine and mill in Saskatchewan? Development decision in Newfoundland and Labrador? CMJ will bring it to your inbox. Look for "Mining People in the News" on Friday. We will also offer the occasional "Perspective" - editorial opinion, activity roundups and topical themes as they occur.

CMJ field editor Marilyn Scales will continue to write and edit most of the news. If she is on the road, she will attempt to send news from wherever she is thanks to the magic of the Internet. When that is not possible, editor Russ Noble will fill in.

We think our readers will welcome more news from CMJ, especially as there is no other service that focuses consistently on Canada. Read, enjoy. As always your comments are welcome. Write to MScales@CanadianMiningJournal.com.
