CALGARY – COPPER FOX METALS has created a $75,000 scholarship to provide financial assistance for a Tahltan Nation student to attend the University of Alberta.

The scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student pursuing fields of study leading to an undergraduate degree. Each student will receive a one-time $75,000 award disbursed over five years based on achieving prescribed performance criteria. The scholarship criteria are based on five components: academic performance, career goals, brief biography, role model qualities and volunteer and leadership contributions.

Copper Fox is exploring the Schaft Creek copper-gold project in northwest British Columbia. The deposit is thought to include 1.6 billion t of ore containing 8.6 million oz of gold, 9.15 billion lb of copper, 620 million lb of molybdenum, and 82.4 million oz of silver. The company hopes to have the project in production by 2011; a prefeasibility study is underway. See www.CopperFoxMetals.com.
