PLACER MINING: Construction complete at Indian River

YUKON – Construction – including roads, waterlines, settling ponds, camp, and processing plant – is complete at the Indian River placer gold mine 30 km south of Dawson City. A 150-m³/h mining plant was installed. It includes dirt moving equipment, processing plants, power generator and pump stations.

While the infrastructure was being built, approximately 25,000 m³ of gravel was stockpiled. Processing some of the stockpile resulted in the recovery of $70,000 worth of gold. Full production is planned for the 2013 season.
