ONTARIO – Minfocus Exploration of Vancouver says that more sampling of drill core from recent holes has returned additional significant intercepts from the Nipigon Reefs (Seagull) project 70 km north of Thunder Bay. Holes WM122-34 to WM12-37 had lengths up to 5.0 metres with platinum group elements grades up to 2.47 g/t Pt+Pd+Au. In addition, the company has received assay results from pit samples with grades up to 1.92 g/t Pt+Pd+Au taken from historic trenches within the Seagull North claims.

Minfocus believes the newly identified intercepts align with the intercepts in adjacent historic drill holes, demonstrating the continuity and extension of mineralization up-dip towards surface.

The Seagull North claims were optioned in February 2011 from  joint owners Black Panther Mining (40%), Rainy Mountain Royalty (30%) and Trillium North Mineral (30%). Minfocus has agreed to spend $250,000 at the property in each of four years.

See Minfocus.com for maps and sections from the Nipigon Reefs project.
