SASKATOON – Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan said it shipped a total of 9.3 million tonnes of potash in 2014, the second highest volume in its history. The company's total sales of potash, nitrogen and phosphate was worth $US7.1 billion, compared to $US7.3 billion in 2013.

Sales of the three fertilizer nutrients gave PotashCorp full year earnings of $US1.5 billion or $US1.82 per share in 2014, 11% below the levels of 2013. Cash flow remained healthy at $US2.7 billion (prior to working capital changes), but trailed 2013's sum by 8%.

"Record potash sales volumes, combined with higher realizations across all three nutrients, raised our quarterly earnings near the upper end of our guidance range," said PotashCorp president and CEO Jochen Tilk in a release. "As we look ahead, we see a supportive market environment – most notably in potash."

Fourth quarter and full year results are detailed in the news release dated Jan. 29, 2015, and posted at PotashCorp.com
