TORONTO KINECOR has offered to pay $25.4 million for the Process Equipment Division of WEIR CANADA, subject to regulatory approval and post-closing adjustments. Weir Process Equipment, formerly known as Peacock, is a leading distributor of pumps, process controls and instrumentation, filtration production, and material handling equipment to the mining and other heavy industries across Canada.

Kinecor says these products are complementary to the lines of bearings, power transmission and fluid handling equipment it offers. Besides distribution and logistics, the company offers engineering and technical support, particularly when cost savings are the goal.

Kinecor operates through 55 branches across Canada, and when the proposed purchase is finalized, eight more branches will be added to the network. Visit www.Kinecor.com.
