PUMPS: KSB broadens range of API-compliant high pressure models

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – KSB Pumps has added a new large-sized member to its CHTR series of high pressure pumps for petroleum industry applications. Members of the CHTR family are designed to be fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute’s API 610 standard for barrel pumps (Type BB5) and are ideal for refineries, petrochemical facilities, boiler feed water or SAG-D applications. The new model pumps provide capacities of up to 1450 m3/h and heads as high as 2,500 metres (greater by special request).

CHTR high pressure pumps from KSB are API compliant.

In order to meet demanding applications, KSB’s CHTR pumps are available in a variety of corrosion resistant materials. Their special “cartridge” design means that all internal components (shaft, impellers, diffusers, seals, bearings) can be withdrawn from the casing as a unit, leaving support structures and pipe connections to the suction and discharge nozzles undisturbed. This simplifies maintenance and reduces down-time.

With a wide range of sizes and 30 possible hydraulic configurations available, designers can choose pumps with operating characteristics that closely match their system requirements for optima energy efficiency and long, trouble-free service lives.
