QUEBEC - First Gold Exploration of Laval, QC, says its Rose deposit at the Lac Pivert/Rose project in the James Bay region contains an indicated resource of 11.4 million tonnes grading 1.34% Li2O, 165 ppm Ta2O5 and 377 ppm BeO. The indicated resource is an additional 2.2 million tonnes of similar grades.

The 43-101 estimate was made using a cutoff grade of 0.75% Li2O, based in part on current market conditions. The company will post the report on SEDAR within 45 days.

The resources are contained in five sub-horizontal pegmatites, at and near surface. The thickness of the pegmatites varies from 2 to 15 metres. There is an excellent potential to increase the size of the deposit at Rose itself and at the nearby additional showings on the property, says First Gold.

Assays from the property also contained measurable amounts of rubidium, caesium and gallium. Historical sampling of the Pivert property also yielded 4.08% Mo.
