All across Canada companies are reporting new NI 43-101 reserve and resource numbers for projects seeking a variety of minerals. Here are some of the reports that have crossed CMJ’s desk since the first of December (and we apologize to anyone we may have missed).

TASEKO MINES of Vancouver:
Gibraltar copper-molybdenum mine near Williams Lake, BC
Reserves: 256.4 million tonnes at 0.318% Cu and 0.010% Mo
Measured and indicated resources: 611.0 million tonnes at 0.280% Cu and 0.008% Mo

SILVER STANDARD RESOURCES of Vancouver:
Snowfield gold project, 40 km north of Stewart, BC (0.50 g/t Au cutoff)
Measured: 11,896 tonnes at 1.45 g/t Au and 0.010% Mo
Indicated: 37,462 tonnes at 1.49 g/t Au and 0.013% Mo
Inferred: 14,664 tonnes at 1.41 g/t Au and 0.041% Mo

PATRICIA MINING (part-owner) of Toronto and RICHMONT MINES (operator) of Montreal:
Island gold project, near Dubreuilville, ON (Island zone only)
Measured: 68,523 tonnes at 11.80 g/t Au
Indicated: 451,206 tonnes at 11.27 g/t Au
Inferred 196,917 tonnes at 10.16 g/t Au

NEW CANTECH VENTURES of Vancouver:
Lucky Ship molybdenum property, near Houston, BC (0.06% Mo cutoff)
Indicated: 29.1 million tonnes at 0.090% Mo (contains 58.0 million lb)

MOSS LAKE GOLD MINES of Toronto:
Moss Lake gold deposit, 115 km northwest of Thunder Bay, ON
Inferred: 50.9 million tonnes at 0.926 g/t Au (contains 1.5 million oz)

CROWFLIGHT MINERALS of Toronto:
Bucko Lake nickel deposit, Wabowden, MB (1% Ni cutoff)
Indicated: 6.2 million tonnes at 1.50% Ni
Inferred: 3.7 million tonnes at 1.48% Ni

CANCOR MINES of Montreal:
Explo zinc massive sulphide deposit, near Joutel, QC (3% Zn cutoff)
Measured: 350,000 tonnes at 9.46% Zn and 0.25% Cu
Indicated: 237,859 tonnes at 4.94% Zn and 0.51% Cu
Inferred: 273,485 tonnes at 6.64% Zn and 0.21% Cu

ANGLO MINERALS (through subsidiary PRAIRIE POTASH) of Calgary and BHP BILLITON DIAMONDS (75%) of Vancouver:
Jansen Lake potash project, near Lanigan, SK
Inferred: 557.15 million tonnes grading 21.66% K2O

Companies such as these are discovering minerals faster than ever in Canada. Now it remains to be seen if high commodity prices will sustain development of these deposits.
