QUEBEC - ROCMEC MINING of Pointe-Claire, Que., has selected PRO-AB EQUIPMENTS (2003), an official Kubota distributor located in Val d'Or, Que., as the exclusive manufacturer of Rocmec's patented thermal rock fragmentors. The initial term of the contract is for five years, with a two-year renewal option.
Rocmec is a junior exploration company that has developed a thermal rock breaking technology, explained on its website at www.RocmecMines.com. The company is now looking to grow through the development of high-grade, gold-bearing quartz vein properties in northwest Quebec. Thermal fragmentation technology has been successfully used at the Russian Kid mine, 36 km west of Rouyn-Noranda.
