BRITISH COLUMBIA After several unforeseen delays, Calgary-based PRIZE MINING has taken delivery of the SAG mill for its Atlin gold property in the northwest part of the province. The mill is being assembled and will be installed in the existing mineral processing circuit to double throughput.

During assembly of the SAG mill, a 10,000-tonne gold-rich bulk sample is being run through a Knelson concentrator circuit as 40 individual 250-tonne blocks. In order to calculate gold content of each block, full gold cleanup is done at the end of each block run.

During the last week of August, Prize completed processing block A27, plus blocks A29 and B27. Block C27 is currently being grizzlied and crushed to 100-mm in preparation to begin feeding into the processing plant. These blocks all came from the Yellowjacket zone.

A history of the Atlin placer gold camp is posted at www.PrizeMining.com.
