The first real advance in scalers in the last 40 years is now available from BREAKER TECHNOLOGY INC. It is the QS45 vibratory pick scaler. According to company president Frank Cargould, Our unit will double the production of the standard scaler with half the maintenance.
The pick has an integral hammer that can be engaged to give extra impact energy as needed. It is mounted on a carrier that features a telescopic boom with a 13-m reach and 330 of rotation. The tilt cylinder develops 18,000 kg of peak force to the pick tip. Trunion shock absorbing mounted telescoping cylinder develops 16,000 kg of thrust in both directions.
