NORTHERN ONTARIO - ATLAS COPCO CONSTRUCTION & MINING CANADA has entered into a long-term partnership with the mining and earth sciences attraction Dynamic Earth. The company will be investing $50,000 in each of the next three years into Phase II construction of Dynamic Earth, for a total capital investment of $150,000. In addition, Atlas Copco has made a second commitment of $20,000 per year over 13 years beginning in 2009.

Since opening in 2003 at SCIENCE NORTH in Sudbury, Dynamic Earth has welcomed over 170,000 visitors into the world of earth sciences, mining and mining technology. This centre tells the stories that have been unearthed from the 1.8-billion-year-old rock that surrounds the city. More information can be found on the web at www.DynamicEarth.ca.

Dynamic Earth Phase II will include the new, 160-seat Atlas Copco Theatre, exhibit changes, landscaping and an expanded lobby. The development of Phase II is intended to broaden the visitor experience by increasing the capacity to present diversified content and changing exhibits. Dynamic Earth Phase II is scheduled to open in Spring 2007.

Atlas Copco Construction & Mining Canada recently appointed Paul Healy as president. He will be based in Sudbury at the company's head office.
