North Bay, ONTARIO - J.S. Redpath Holdings has acquired Deilmann-Haniel Shaft Sinking GmbH of Dortmund, Germany, effective Jan. 1, 2012. The German enterprise has a 120-year history of supplying specialty mining services to the industry throughout Europe It specializes in the application of ground freezing techniques as well as the design and installation of complex shaft linings. Deilmann-Haniel has sunk over 500 mine shafts.

Redpath considers this acquisition to be of great strategic importance as it provides a platform for growth in the European and Russian markets. The company has offices in North and South America, Asian, Australia and Africa.
