MEXICOExcellon Resources has successfully sealed the area of the unexpected water inflow that began Oct. 4, 2008, at its Platosa silver-lead-zinc project in Durango. Dewatering of the mine has now allowed full production activities to resume. Routine mining activity was resumed on Dec. 1. Surface crushing operations and regular shipments of ore to the Penoles Naica operation are scheduled to resume within a week.

During the interruption to production, Excellon (www.ExcellonResources.com) completed the installation of a well and a second surface pump to accelerate the mine dewatering and to serve as back-up capacity to the existing underground pumping system.
