SILVER: Treasure Mountain operations suspended

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-based Huldra Silver has put its Treasure Mountain silver-zinc mine and Merritt mill on care and maintenance due to "market factors." The company said it does not have the funds to both continue mining and transport the ore to the mill. Stopes 2 and 5 were active when the decision was made.

Milling was discontinued earlier this week for maintenance, but the plant will also be placed on care and maintenance.
