ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA - THERMO ELECTRON CORP. has introduced the new OLA-200 analyzer, a light element slurry analyzer for real-time on-line optimization in the mineral processing industry. Using prompt gamma neutron activation analysis (PGNAA) technology, the new instrument gives simultaneous analysis of multiple elements in a slurry stream, including silica, sulphur, phosphorous, aluminum and magnesium.
The OLA-200 offers increased reliability, serviceability and accuracy thanks to digital signal processing with improved geometry and electronics. The redesigned multiplexer not only analyzes multiple streams but does so with short cycle times and little maintenance. The OLA-200 is suitable for use in base metal concentrators, gold plants, sulphide recovery circuits and phosphate flotation.
