QUEBEC CITY – COGEP Inc. and Metso Life-Cycle Services have created a new partnership with which to launch the Metso Maintenance Solution powered by Guide Ti. This computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software will strengthen Metso Life-Cycle Services' ability to manage day-to-day maintenance activities for mining corporation customers and therefore reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve execution time.
Guide Ti, an all-in-one maintenance software tool for equipment in the comminution circuit such as grinding mills as well as for stationary and mobile equipment, has been used by Metso since 2011 and is now successfully implemented in many countries. Contracts for the new Metso Maintenance Solution powered by Guide Ti are in development in Russia, India, Mexico, Chile and Sweden. The new solution will also be implemented in South Africa and Brazil before the end of 2015.
Metso Maintenance Solution is a custom designed application to manage maintenance activities for all LCS contracts. It's an excellent management and cost control tool for planning preventive and corrective maintenance. The application's structure provides detailed control of maintenance activities, manpower and inventory. The next goal for COGEP and Metso is to develop and offer a tailored version of this solution to other areas of Metso's activities: service contracts and manufacturing.
