SOFTWARE: Iron ore, gold projects rely on SmartPlant (February 03, 2010)

QUEBEC — The design of the Bloom Lake iron ore plant being built by Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines 400 km north of Sept-Iles has been done using software supplied by Intergraph of Huntsville, AL. BBA (www.BBA.ca) of Moun-Saint-Hilaire, QC, consulting engineers on the project, has selected SmartPlant 3-D design solution to model the plant.

With the major design of the Bloom Lake project completed, BBA is also using the SmartPlant software to design the plant for the Canadian Malartic gold mine currently under development by Osisko Mining of Montreal.
